Read a Financial Report Like an Owner

Understand what the key lines on a financial report actually mean for decisions, not just what they say.

There's a difference between understanding a report in the moment (lesson 2) and being able to read one confidently on your own over time. This lesson is about building that muscle — knowing what revenue, cost of goods, gross margin, and net profit actually mean for the choices you make.

Use AI as a patient teacher, not just a translator. Ask it to explain what a specific line means using your own numbers as the example, and to explain why it matters — not just "revenue is money coming in" but "your gross margin tells you how much room you have before overhead and profit even enter the picture."

In practice

You bring a real report and leave understanding what each key line means for your next decision.
